Help-Gross Bugs on my nightstand!?

I just got a nightstand and lamp from the worst possible place to buy furniture-THE CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPS! There are orange spiders forming webs in the lamp, and little gray buys crawling on the table! I take such pride in my room and i'm extremely dissapointed What should i do? i only paid 5.99 for the lamp and only 39.99 for the table. Is it because it was made in China and is infested? Should i scrub it? How can I fix this problem!? I have a bug phobia!!
