Why are boys out performed and out numbered by girls in education?

Because in the 80s we had the opposite problem where girls were out performed and outnumbered (the later at least at college level). The reaction to this was to make classes more favorable to female learning styles. Unfortunately, while this solved the girl crisis, it resulted in the boy crisis. It is not good for society to lean too heavily in favor of one sex over the other in the realm of education. We need to go back to the drawing board and find an approach that results in a more 50/50 result.
