Should i transfer to this high school or stay?

So theres 2 schools in my district. one is in the southern part of my town and the other one is north. the north and south elementary schools all combined to go to one middle school. now the middle school splits up after 8th grade to go to high school. i live in the south part of this town which is said to be the very rich snotty bitchy school but my two best friends are going there. the north side school is less rich than this school and the people r much nicer. i have a couple of people in this school that im friends with but we're not super close. i want to go to the north side school but i have 2 leave my 2 best friends and there is no gurantee that the transfer to this school will be accepted. there has to be a long process to go on for me to to be able to transfer. am i bettter off putting the hardwork into getting into this school or should i juust stay where i am? i really dont wanna make the wrong decision cause im gonna be here for 4 yrs of my life
