If I have a large UTH, do I need a heat lamp for my Bally Python?

I have a 3.5 foot male ball python in a 40 gallon tank. I have a heat lamp and just got an UTH. Should I still have the heat lamp on if I put the UTH on? It covers a little less than half the bottom of the tank. Will the UTH keep my tank hot enough for my Ball Python?
